This courseware represents the latest in technology, and is designed to be accessible to a wide audience. After taking this course you will be ready to tackle the many leadership challenges facing you in your community.

There are 11 modules in this course. You are not required to take each module, but you are encouraged to do so. You can use the site to find out more information about what is covered in each module. Once you've made your selections, you can register for the modules you are interested in.

Although the material is available over the web, these modules are meant to be instructor-led. Coaches will follow your progress electronically, and interact with you from time-to-time. You can get direct access to the module coaches by leaving messages in the Message Board (which you will see when you login). You can also interact with the coaches and other registrants who may be online through a chat facility.

Technical Stuff

In order to look at this courseware, you will need to download the Macromedia Authorware Viewer Application, which you can get here. This application is free. It will need about 8 megabytes of space on your hard drive to load, and then must be installed on your computer. Please follow the instructions on the Macromedia site.

As each module runs, it may take up much of your screen. For best results, you should have your screen resolution set to at least 800 by 600. The module will run in a separate window, so you can toggle between it and the actual web site. You would do this, for instance, if you wanted to chat with coaches or other registrants while looking at a module.

Each module will download information to your computer as it starts up. The amount of information will vary with the length of the module. You should expect at least 1 megabyte to be downloaded with each module.
